Founder & CEO
Marissa is a National Geographic Explorer 2018 and an Echoing Green Fellow 2019. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and holds an M.Sc. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. In 2016 she founded Kitcel, a styrofoam recycling company. Previously, she worked for the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) as an energy advisor and external Senior Consultant.
CSO & Co-Founder
Paola holds a BSc in Food Science and an MSc Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University; she is committed to catalyzing sustainable solutions to environmental and climate issues in developing countries. Regarding her academic and professional work experience, she has skills in building technological capacity, providing environmental consultancy and managing biobased projects.
COO & Co-Founder
Fanny holds an M.Sc. in Management from emlyon Business School. Prior to joining microTERRA, she created and was the CEO of donadora.org, a B Corp that is the major donation platform for social and environmental projects in Mexico. Originally from France, she has been living in Mexico since 2014 where she started her career leading the operations at Fondeadora, the first creative crowdfunding platform in Latin America, bought by Kickstarter in 2016.
